Erste Woche im Büro (Yashi's erster Post)

Obwohl ich schon letzte Woche dreimal im Büro war, im Wesentlichen, um meinen neuen Laptop und meine Mobilnummer zu bekommen, war dieser Montag mein offizieller Start. Im Gegensatz zu meinen bisherigen Besuchen wurde ich natürlich nicht speziell angekündigt, aber das war gar kein Problem. Es war wirklich schön, dass so viele Kolleginnen und Kollegen vorbeigekommen sind, um mich zu begrüßen. Es gibt so viele neue Gesichter und Namen, die ich mir noch nicht alle merken kann.

Ich beginne eher früh, d. h. bin etwas vor 9 Uhr im Büro, um schon einmal einen guten Start in den Tag zu haben. Die meisten kommen erst später, weil wir alle abends noch Calls mit Europa oder sogar Amerika haben. Ich fand den Tipp von V. wirklich super, einfach während der Züricher Mittagszeit nach Hause zu fahren und die anderen Calls von dort zu machen. Die ersten drei Tage habe ich das so gemacht und es hat wirklich gut geklappt. 

​Da wir immer noch kein Bankkonto haben, können wir bedauerlicherweise keine der lokalen Bezahl-Apps, ähnlich wie Twint, benutzen. Leider kann ich die App, um mein Mittagessen im Food Court zu bestellen, auch nicht benutzen. Ich freue mich sehr, dass mich V. am Dienstag und S. am Mittwoch eingeladen haben und werde mich gerne revanchieren. Am Donnerstag gönne ich mir etwas in einem Café, das meine Kreditkarte akzeptiert, und genieße es, es draußen zu essen, mit Blick auf eine riesige Leinwand, die mitten auf dem Campus steht. Am Freitag habe ich mir etwas Leckeres, das Isa gekocht hat, von zu Hause mitgebracht. Meine Tiffin-Behälter sind nicht klassisch, aber wir können sie auch zum Aufbewahren benutzen, wenn wir möchten. Ich denke, ich werde mir noch ein richtiges Tiffin-Set kaufen.

Wir haben zwei Besucher aus Zürich und ich konnte mich ihnen anschliessen, um die neuen Büros zu besuchen. Das Gebäude ist fertiggestellt und verfügt über Kantinen sowie andere Büros. "Unsere" Etage befindet sich jedoch noch im Rohbau. Ich freue mich schon sehr darauf, im nächsten Juni in die neuen Büroräumlichkeiten umzuziehen, die bis dahin fertiggestellt werden sollen. Das neue Gebäude ist gleich über die Straße, so bleibt der Arbeitsweg gleich und ich muss mich nicht umgewöhnen.

Although I had already been to the office three times last week, mainly to get my new laptop and mobile number, this Monday was my official start. Unlike my previous visits, of course, I wasn't specifically announced, but that wasn't a problem at all. It was really nice that so many colleagues came round to welcome me. There are so many new faces and names that I still can't remember them all.

I tend to start early, i.e. I'm in the office a little before 9 a.m. to get the day off to a good start. Most people come in later because we all have calls with Europe or even America in the evening. I thought V.'s tip of simply travelling home during lunchtime in Zurich and making the other calls from there was really great. I did this for the first three days and it worked really well. 

Unfortunately, as we still don't have a bank account, we can't use any of the local payment apps similar to Twint. Unfortunately, I can't use the app to order my lunch at the food court either. I'm very pleased that V. invited me on Tuesday and S. on Wednesday and will be happy to return the favour. On Thursday, I treat myself to something at a café that accepts my credit card and enjoy eating it outside, overlooking a giant screen that sits in the middle of campus. On Friday, I brought myself something delicious that Isa cooked from home. My tiffin containers aren't vintage, but we can use them for storage if we want. I think I'm going to buy a proper tiffin set.

We have two visitors from Zurich and I was able to join them to visit the new offices. The building is finished and has canteens and other offices. However, ‘our’ floor is still under construction. I'm really looking forward to moving into the new offices next June, which should be finished by then. The new building is just across the road, so the commute will be the same and I won't have to get used to it.

Bien que je me sois déjà rendue trois fois au bureau la semaine dernière, essentiellement pour obtenir mon nouvel ordinateur et mon numéro de téléphone portable, ce lundi était mon début officiel. Contrairement à mes visites précédentes, je n'ai bien sûr pas été spécialement annoncée, mais cela n'a pas posé de problème. C'était vraiment sympa de voir autant de collègues passer pour me saluer. Il y a tant de nouveaux visages et de noms que je ne peux pas encore les tous retenir.

Je commence plutôt tôt, c'est-à-dire que je suis au bureau un peu avant 9 heures, pour déjà bien commencer la journée. La plupart d'entre nous arrivent plus tard, car nous avons tous des appels le soir avec l'Europe ou même l'Amérique. J'ai trouvé le conseil de V. vraiment super, de simplement rentrer à la maison pendant l'heure du déjeuner à Zurich et de faire les autres appels de là. C'est ce que j'ai fait les trois premiers jours et ça a vraiment bien fonctionné. 

Comme nous n'avons toujours pas de compte bancaire, nous ne pouvons malheureusement pas utiliser les applications de paiement locales, similaires à Twint. Malheureusement, je ne peux pas non plus utiliser l'application pour commander mon déjeuner au Food Court. Je suis très heureux que V. m'ait invité mardi et S. mercredi et je leur rendrai volontiers la pareille. Jeudi, je m'offre quelque chose dans un café qui accepte ma carte de crédit et j'apprécie de le manger dehors, avec vue sur un écran géant installé au milieu du campus. Vendredi, j'ai amené de la maison quelque chose de délicieux qu'Isa avait cuisiné. Mes récipients "tiffins" ne sont pas classiques, mais nous pouvons aussi les utiliser pour garder de la nourriture si nous le souhaitons. Je pense que je vais encore acheter un vrai set de tiffins.

Donnerstagabends sitzen wir beide am gleichen Ort

Nous avons deux visiteurs de Zurich et j'ai pu me joindre à eux pour visiter les nouveaux bureaux. Le bâtiment est terminé et dispose de cantines ainsi que d'autres bureaux. Toutefois, « notre » étage est encore en cours de construction. J'ai hâte de déménager en juin prochain dans les nouveaux bureaux qui devraient être terminés d'ici là. Le nouveau bâtiment est juste de l'autre côté de la rue, donc le trajet pour aller travailler reste le même et je n'ai pas à changer d'habitude.
